Commission
Note:           Requesting information doesn't mean you have to commission an artwork.
If you are thinking of commissioning a portrait you need consider a number of points:
1. Style of Portrait.
2. What medium would you prefer? ( Oil or Pastel)
3. Length of the portrait (Head & Shoulders, Half Length, 3/4 Length, Full Length)
4. How many figures will be in the painting?
5. What kind of background would you like?
6. Your budget. ( Price very depending on the tipe and size of artwork.)
7. Time - Scale.
8.  Framing
I prefer to work directly with the clients, rather than work through an agent or gallery. With direct
consultation, work on a portrait can get started & completed sooner. Also, there is less of any
misunderstanding between the artist and client. For long - distance clients, the artist consult by the
phone, mail, e-mail.
Titian, Rembrandt, Bouguereau,  Vermeer, the old masters I most admire. I like painting faces who
have a story to tell.
I like to paint from photos I take myself  but if it isn't possible  I paint from photographs provided by
the client. I create my art in soft pastels and oil on linen or oil on wood.
Once we have agreed on the commission a simple letter of agreement will be drawn up between you
(the client) and me (the artist), and a deposit paid the 50% deposit is required.
A sketch of the portrait will be maded for consideretion and constructive criticism.
The finished portrait will be sent to you after you approve the sketch and pay the commission
balance.
However, if you are not pleased with the final portrait, after minor corrections, then I will refund your
deposit. Pricing of final art piece does not include frames, sales tax or shipping (if applicable).
